Nike Decided To Make Room Socks

 Nike Room Socks

I think these are some very interesting socks. Its sort of like those socks that they give you at the hospital (you know, the ones with the tread on the bottom) except its a little more bulky and its from a sneaker brand.

When Nike first started this “turn sneakers into slippers” idea, it really didn’t fly. You ended up with half a shoe that cost just 10 dollars less than the whole shoe. Plus, why buy them as slippers when you and I know that they will end up being slippers after 10 months anyway?

Jordan also entered the slipper area and it was horrible. Just horrible…

But now its the 21 century and those slipper/sandlas prices have come down slightly and the design has come up. I know you guys heard of Crocs? lol

The Nike Room Sock is a must buy for the grown AND sexy… but only if it cost 50 or less. Anything more than 50, the almost sneaker becomes a really cheap sneaker or a really expensive sock.

Ben Sherman Atacama Desert Boot at Urban Outfitters

 Ben Sherman Atacama Desert Boot

Ben Sherman does it again (second post on Ben Sherman shoe in a day)

Man… I feel like I have just discovered mens shoe gold! Urban Outfitters.com has a fine collection of footwear for the 30 and up class. Even the sneakers are high in style and could probably pass at a club that says, “no boot or sneakers”.

I’m just getting into the whole shoe and sneaker game myself after I realized that I am willing to spend Mariah Carey money on my feet. Eventually, I am sure, I will have a walk in closet just for my footwear. My wife will probably be mad considering that she would want the walk in for her shoes… TOO BAD!!! lol (she’ll never read my blog so I can get away with this kind of stuff)

So the point I was actually trying to get to with the paragraph above is that I never heard of Ben Sherman. Not even a whisper. I bet they been around for years and I probably seen them somehow somewhere. Well after seeing the shoe pictured above, I’m gonna have to follow them more closely.

I think I will need a Ben Sherman category for my little ‘fashion/gadget with a twist of opinion Lime’ blog.

Alice Kaiserswerth x Adidas EQUALS Croquet

Now this is grown AND sexy. If you into Croquet, and you want something real special, and you want to play in urban areas (h’uh??? lol) get this Alice Kaiserswerth designed croquet set.

Come on! Release yourself from those stuffy English lawns where you would think is the only place to play Croquet…because of a special design, you can play with this on the sidewalk. Can you beat that?

Oh and check out the footwear:

Adidas Croquet Sneaker

Look closely at the soul of the shoe… yeah, where the Adidas symbol is… yup, that is the ball holder so when you hold the ball with your foot it is more steady.

Isn’t that cheating???

I wonder if this is a shoe you can just walk around in and not feel like something is missing at the toe area? The shoe does look comfortable though. I get them that much.

I Don’t Understand This: Light skin Party

Some one please explain this to me.

“I made a mistake,” Barnes said. “I didn’t think there would be a backlash.”

Barnes, who said he’s been a party promoter for six years, canceled the event.

He said he has gotten angry calls and e-mails from around the country about the party.
“I didn’t mean to offend anyone,” he said. “I had planned a party for other shades (of black women). We were going to take a shade of color each week. Next week was going to be a party for ‘Sexy Chocolate’ and the week after that ‘Sexy Caramel.’ ”

Unbelievable…

Beyonce and Mom: Prom Dresses and Cell Phones

“Just don’t be shocked when they try to talk us into buying Beyonce inspired glittery USB cables called B’cords”

From A Hot Mess

YOU ARE SOOOOOOO WRONG FOR THAT!!!
And that B’Weave comment by IPS… LMAO

I don’t quite understand the B’Phone and its special “features”. I like that it seems to be for the general public but come on… a phone?

Samsung plans to unveil Spicy Creole’s “B Phone” today at its megastore in the Time Warner Center. A splashy TV spot will follow. The “B Phone” will come preloaded with exclusive photos and videos of the singer, along with a never-released track of her belting out a tune at 10 years old.

‘Cause you need to hear her singing a song as a child to get the full effect, thank you.

The cell phone is a burgundy version of Samsung’s UpStage, a double-sided device with calling features on one face and a video and music player on the other.

It will be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart for $99 with a service contract from Sprint.

What is really HOT right now is the “whoever” x “whatever” but I don’t think this pulls it off.
Alife x Asics = yes
Dwane Wade x T-Mobile = why?
Beyonce x radnom cell phone company = over extension of herself

Now if she did Doreon x Air Jordan limited release sneakers for women… now that would be cool.

As for the dresses, I am ok with this. I actually like House of Doreon and support it. I like what they are trying to do and I really think they can take it all the way to the top like brands such as Armani (but this will take decades I think).

I don’t think they are over extending themselves with the prom dress line… but this cell phone business. I am a little lost on the idea of this (other than that the music industry is dieing and artists need better ways to connect to their audience).

I am very interested (as a business man) and curious (as a celebrity watcher) as to how this will turn out.

‘God-o-Meter’??? LOL: 08 White House hopefuls rated on religion

This is absolutly insane. I guess many people were interested in it though because it is the top blog post for today.

Heck, I’ll admit I find it interesting myself. Of course I have my opinion on this, but I think I’ll keep that to myself (for now at least) .

“My Body Got Better With Age!” – From MSN Health & Fitness

Here is a great new article (well, when it comes to MSN hi-lighting an article on our email page, it being new is relative) on exercising and staying healthy.

I was at the doctor last week and you know what he told me? New just came out a few weeks ago (or something like that) where you should exercise at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days out of a week (leaving 2 days for rest). That along with eating responsibly aka no hunger diets, you can stay healthy and loose wieght.

Confessions of a credit card pusher – MSN Money

You guys have got to read this. I wonder when they will stop credit card companies from doing this to students? Actually what i really wonder is when they will teach finance in schools. I think that is the most ignored subject in school since gym and lunch.

And why does money management always equate to “Home Ed” or “Home Ec” (as in economics)? Saving for your retirement, investing in the stock market, and understanding contracts and interest rates is a little more than orgainzing your check book and shopping for groceries. Heck, now with employers not hiring people because of their credit score (and their myspace and facebook pages), I would think it be an important issue.

He gave away T-shirts and had a sales pitch designed to counter fellow students’ reluctance. He bought into his own words — and has bills to prove it.

I have no problem with credit card companies making money and banks adding hirer a.p.r.’s to student loans, my problem is how they take advantage f so many and take advantage of how high they can make those APR’s
